Spirit of God (Fee 1994: 28–32). “Spiritual blessings,” therefore, are the benefits that come as gracious gifts from the Spirit of God and that Paul describes in 1:4–14 (Aletti 2001: 56). We learn more about the nature of these “spiritual blessings” when Paul describes them as ἐν τοῖς ἐπουρανίοις (en tois epouraniois, in the heavenly places) and ἐν Χριστῷ (en christō, in Christ).
